Chesa Dimlej, St. Moritz

In the comprehensive renovation work in and on the Chesa Dimlej in St. Moritz the highest standards in terms of fitting-out had to be met. All the rooms were redesigned and equipped with exclusive built-in fittings and appliances.

The Chesa Dimlej stands at a height of more than 1800 metres above sea level on Lake St. Moritz, which lies on the periphery of St. Moritz in the Upper Engadin. In 1994 an underground garage at street level was added to this house, which dates originally from 1900, and in 2013 a lift. The project shown here included the comprehensive redesign of the rooms, the renovation of the facade and the roof terrace on the top floor, and renovation of the patio.
As well as an exclusive fitted kitchen with walk-in wine cabinet, a library with high-quality built-in fittings and leather-covered doors was also added. A wide staircase now leads from the ground floor to rooftop level. The flooring on all levels was renovated. All the wet rooms were replanned and fitted with modern materials and appliances.
On the upper floor between the parents’ bedroom and bathroom there is a dressing room with quality, joiner-made fittings. On the plinth level an exclusive sauna with bathtub, showers and WC was made. The rooms are air-conditioned or ventilated and the lighting intensity is adjustable. All the building services including electronics and lighting were renewed throughout the house.
